Ten individuals convicted of digital abuse directed at Brigitte Macron

A court in Paris has convicted ten people for engaging in the digital intimidation of Brigitte Macron, the partner of French President, Emmanuel Macron.
The those on trial faced accusations of spreading false claims regarding her sex and sexual orientation, in addition to making defamatory statements about the couple's age disparity of 24 years.
The court delivered suspended prison sentences of up to eight months to the defendants. The full ruling has yet to be released.

This latest legal outcome in France coincides with the Macrons engaging in a libel case in the United States of America against right-wing influencer Candace Owens, who has likewise promoted similar conspiracy theories about the first lady's biological sex.
Their complaint alleges that Owens disregarded any factual proof that refuted her assertions in favour of give a platform to established defamers.
Owens has regularly repeated these allegations on her digital program and online platforms, and in March 2024 stated that she would bet her whole career on her conviction that Mrs. Macron is biologically male.
Brigitte Macron originally became acquainted with her future husband when she worked as an educator at his secondary school.
